Break Time Croatia – Frequently Asked Questions

Are Break Time bracelets waterproof?

Yes. Our bracelets are made with 304 stainless steel and durable nautical rope, so they are designed to handle everyday wear – including sea, shower and pool. We do recommend rinsing them with fresh water after exposure to salt water, chlorine or cosmetics, and drying them gently with a soft cloth.

What materials do you use?

Most Break Time bracelets and accessories are made with 304L stainless steel (for anchors, shackles and other metal parts) combined with high-quality EU-made nautical rope. Most collections also include stainless steel chains and components with 18k gold or rose-gold plating, as well as black vacuum plating.

Will my bracelet rust, tarnish or fade?

304L stainless steel does not rust and is highly resistant to tarnishing in normal use. Rope colours may naturally soften slightly over time with intense sun or chlorine exposure, but this only adds a bit of character to your bracelet. Plated pieces are also very durable, but – like all plated jewellery – they may eventually show normal wear if worn daily for many years.

Can you custom engrave my bracelet?

Yes. Many of our bracelets can be custom engraved in our atelier in Split. On the product page, you will see if engraving is available and where to add your text. We engrave most European characters, numbers and simple symbols. Please double-check the spelling before placing your order, as personalised pieces cannot be returned unless there is a manufacturing issue. Check also the Custom Engraving page. 

How do I choose the right size?

The Yacht Crew and Sailor bracelets are completely adjustable, while the shackle bracelets are slightly adjustable and the size information is shown on each product page. You can also consult our detailed Size Guide page. If you’re still unsure, contact us with your wrist measurement and the model you like, and we’ll recommend the best size.

Are your bracelets suitable for sensitive skin?

We use high-quality stainless steel that is generally well tolerated, even by people with sensitive skin. However, everyone’s skin is different. If you have a known metal allergy or very reactive skin, we recommend wearing the bracelet for short periods at first and discontinuing use if you notice any irritation. When in doubt, please consult your doctor.

Can I wear Break Time jewellery while doing sports or sailing?

Yes. Break Time was created on the Croatian coast and our jewellery is designed for an active, nautical lifestyle. You can comfortably wear it while sailing, travelling, or doing most everyday activities. For heavy gym workouts or contact sports, we recommend taking pieces off to avoid scratches or accidental snagging.

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes, we ship worldwide from Croatia. Shipping methods, prices and estimated delivery times are shown at checkout and may vary depending on your country. You will receive a confirmation email with tracking details as soon as your order is dispatched.

How much is shipping and how long does it take?

Shipping costs and delivery times depend on your location and the shipping option you choose at checkout. In general, European orders arrive faster than intercontinental shipments. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, please refer to the shipping details displayed during checkout and in our Shipping Information section.

What is your return and exchange policy?

You can return or exchange unworn, non-personalised items within the period specified in our Returns & Exchanges policy, counting from the delivery date. Items must be in their original condition and packaging. Custom engraved or otherwise personalised pieces are usually not returnable unless there is a manufacturing defect. Can I pick up my order in Split?

Yes, you are always welcome to visit our Break Time Croatia flagship shop in Split (Trogirska 8, Old Town). If you would like to pick up a specific online order in person, please contact us before or immediately after placing your order so we can confirm availability and arrange the details.

Do you offer gift packaging?

Yes. Every Break Time piece comes in Break Time packaging, ready to be gifted. If you are sending a gift directly to someone, you can let us know in the order notes and we’ll make sure to not include the invoice with the package. You can see our Gift Ready page for more info.
